Rohtas is one of the 38 districts in Bihar. The district is also known as Sasaram. It is one of the 6 districts of Patna division. The head quarter of the district is Rohtas . It has 19 blocks. The total population of the district is 2,450,748 and the area is 3,848 sqkm. Rich Paddy Fields and Wheat are the main agricultural crops. Cement Factory, Vegetable Oil Mill and Paper Factory are the main industry. Sone and Kaw are the main river. The literacy rate is 61.29% . The female literacy rate is 45.71% . The male literacy rate is 75.31% .
